As we enter into a week of giving thanks, what could be more inspiring than sharing our stories of gratitude.  What are you grateful for this year? Why?  Share your story.

I’m grateful for the fbc blog, with the beautiful picture of round rocks in the water, making an inviting path….and grateful for the invitation to share a story. A little more than a year ago, I would not have seen the picture, nor received the invitation, nor had either the courage or the light-heartedness to respond. I’m grateful for this season of growth and learning together at fbc, on the corner of Beacon and Centre streets. Inspired by Sean and Lynn and other companions along the way, I’ve been learning to see in new ways, to seek different perspectives, and to listen for unknown voices. I’m grateful for new friends and some older friendships that have deepened. I’m grateful that my experiences on Sunday morning connect with my work and life throughout the week. I’m grateful for connections, for beauty, for colors, for singing voices, for creativity, for resurrection life, for music, for transformation.

Grateful to find fbc on the web and in active service in NC. Grateful also to meet a fellow student and his wife, that visited us the other week after all these years, and especially the service of friendshipworks that they are part of. We are grateful for our local church here at Lillesand, Norway, the service we are trying to do here, right on the coast. And we are looking forward to a new winter with skiing - also with our grandchildren. We are also grateful that even in great conflicts, we see signs of hope and efforts to bring peace and reconciliation ... and are thereby involved in our small way, in prayerand thanksgiving.
