Building Rentals
FBC Newton, located next to the Newton Centre Green Line 'T' stop, offers a variety of space available for rental for events ranging from concerts and wedding to Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, group meetings, and classes.
See the forms below for further infomation, including rates, terms and conditions for renting any of the church spaces. If you are interested in arranging a rental and would like to inquire about availability, or have any other questions or concerns, please contact our Church Secretary, Donna Vello, via email dvello@fbcnewton.org or by calling (617) 244-2997.
If your date is available, please complete the form and mail to the address listed along with the appropriate deposit. We will be sure to notify you that your event is confirmed once the church representative signs off on the form.
Available Rooms
The sanctuary, chapel, and several rooms in the church school building are available to rent as follows:
Sanctuary
The Sanctuary at First Baptist Church in Newton is a fine performance hall and has hosted many musical performances - including one that comfortably accommodated 700 people. It is also an attractive space to hold a wedding. In front is the chancel, which is like a stage. The pulpit, choir seating, and other furniture upon it can be removed. Folding chairs are stored nearby. The space also includes a Steinway concert piano and organ.
Chapel
The chapel is adjacent to the sanctuary and measures approximately 33 feet by 48 feet with a 20 foot tall ceiling. There is no religious iconography in this space, and the windows face east. The room contains its own Steinway concert piano and is carpeted in red.
Everts Room
The Everts room measures 25 feet by 48 feet. It is a lovely, more formal, large space for a meeting or party. The room is furnished with a variety of cushioned sofas and chairs.
Fellowship Hall
Fellowship Hall measures 33 feet by 48 feet. This casual space, adjacent to the large kitchen, is suitable for many types of functions.
Large Kitchen
The large kitchen is equipped with commercial-grade equipment, including a stove, oven, dishwasher, counter-top, and cookware.
Junior and Senior High Youth Rooms
These rooms offer a casual space with couches and tables.
