We believe music and the arts help us to deepen our sense of wonder for God’s creation and are blessed with a beautiful sanctuary whose acoustics support our high quality music program.
The Chancel Choir is made up of dedicated volunteers and paid section leaders. Soloists and guest instrumentalists perform frequently, adding another dimension to the musical offerings.
The music selections are diverse. On any Sunday, you will hear music carefully selected to complement liturgical themes, and will enjoy a varied repertoire, ranging from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary classical choices to Bach’s Easter Oratorio. We love to sing time-honored hymns, spirituals, and international music.
In addition to Sunday morning worship, the church is alive with musical and other cultural events. Recent concerts have featured the The Duke University Chorale, the Charles River Wind Ensemble, and the New Philharmonia Orchestra. The church is also the site for numerous vocal and instrumental recitals.
The Chancel Choir
