From the archives: The Tithing Dollar

Cheerful giving has taken many forms at the church, including this "Tithing Dollar" case found in the archives. Each side has room for a dime so a whole dollar is collected. Dimes were used in this case because a tithe was expected to be equal to a tenth of your income.
